Black and white prints from the Dartmoor Gallery. Fine art monochrome brings out the best of Dartmoor's character in my eyes. It reveals the wonderful textures of the rocks, grasses, heath and cloud. Dartmoor is a wilderness of drama and contrast and again black and white imagery allows the viewer to experience that without distraction.

Clearly, I do love black and white photography, but sometimes Dartmoor reveals itself in such a way as to get my eye's colour receptor cones really excited. Whether it is the burnt sienna tones of countless tussocks of Purple Moor Grass stretching down a river valley, or the intense lush greens of our very own rainforsts, colour can be a defining element. Muted or in outrageous stauration or combination, colour can be glorious.
